Homegrown style items are proceeding to make waves globally with Jakarta-based brand Biyantie set to feature its work at the current year's New York Fashion Week in the United States.
Biyantie organizer Setiawan Ananto said he had teamed up with a nearby style creator to make items that spoke to "stylish recent college grads" both at home and abroad.
"We have been welcome to show up at the New York Fashion Week in the not so distant future, because of our ongoing joint effort with an Indonesian style originator," Setiawan said amid Indonesia Fashion Week at the Jakarta Convention Center in Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday, as cited by Antara.
Biyanti, which began as a little and medium-sized endeavor (SME) five years back, is best known for its line of cowhide sacks.
The brand is right now centered around boosting its deals through online commercial centers and web based life stages. With respect to disconnected deals, Setiawan said the brand intended to open a physical retail location at a shopping center in Jakarta.
"We're consulting with a shopping center chain in Jakarta," he included.
He said he expected both on the web and disconnected deals to shoot up to a normal of Rp 600 million (US$42,197) from the present figure of Rp 400 million.
