Wonder president Kevin Feige has conceded that he was reluctant to give Chris Evans a role as Captain America, a job that he is presently synonymous with. Feige said in an ongoing meeting that Evans' having officially played a hero in the doomed Fantastic Four motion pictures was a reason for concern. 

He told the Hollywood Reporter, "We thought, OK, well, he's that character. We should continue looking." Evans played the Human Torch, Johnny Storm in the two Fantastic Four movies. He himself has confessed to being reluctant about marking onto a multi-film contract with Marvel. 

Feige said that they justified Evans' throwing by advising themselves that it wasn't surprising for stars to lead different establishments at the same time. He stated, "As we (proceeded) not discovering individuals, we returned to the underlying records. What's more, that took us back to Chris. What's more, I thought, well, Patrick Stewart played Jean-Luc Picard and Charles Xavier. Harrison Ford played Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Who cares?" 

Evans was purportedly paid only $300,000 for the primary Captain America film, which discharged in 2011. He made $15 million for the last two Avengers films. 

Evans has said that he turned down the offer not once, yet twice. He told the Hollywood Reporter, "Getting the offer felt to me like the exemplification of allurement. A definitive activity offer, on the greatest scale. I should state no to this thing. It felt like the proper activity. You see the photos, and you see the ensembles, and it's cool. In any case, I'd currently woken up the day in the wake of saying no and felt better, twice." 

Evans was facing his companion and The Office star John Krasinski for the part. Krasinski in a meeting to Variety said he distinctively got the dismissal phonecall. "My operator called and stated, 'They will run with Chris Evans,'" Krasinski said. "Furthermore, I recollect that I stated, 'Definitely, take a gander at him. He's Captain America.'" 

Vindicators: Endgame is reputed to be Evans' last turn as Captain America. It has for quite some time been reputed that the character will be killed off in the film. This talk was further fuelled when Evans put out a tweet saying the amount he'll miss playing the character.
